We are looking for Community Arts Volunteers to help us run arts and crafts sessions at AiR community centre in Ramsgate. The sessions run 10am-12noon and 2-4pm weekdays.
Community Arts Volunteers help out by setting up, packing down and working with other volunteers and staff to create a welcoming space for people of all abilities and backgrounds to explore their creativity.
The ideal person for this role will be good at working in a team and sometimes thinking of things on their own. They will be interested in art and crafts, and will feel comfortable talking to people. We are happy to support people to learn new things as they go along, and new volunteers will be shown where everything goes and how things work at the centre.
A lot of Community Arts Volunteers work on their own art projects and activities in the quieter moments, and everyone at the centre, including staff and volunteers, is welcome to use the arts materials we have here.
If you are interested in this volunteer role, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
and let us know a bit about yourself, including why you think you would be good for the role and your background.
To have a chat about the role please call us on 01843 309 284 and ask to speak to Daisy or Jemma.
We look forward to hearing from you.
